Wow, what a busy season 2011 is shaping up to be!

That being said, if you are on the fence about renting a booth or have been waiting for the right time – the time is now!

We are often asked how far in advance a photo booth should be booked and our general advice is to book as soon as you have your event date figured out. Many prime dates, especially weekends, completely book out months in advance even though we do have multiple photo booths.

It may only be the beginning of March, but there are almost a dozen prime days for 2011 that are now fully booked, with many other dates only having single bookings left available.

Reserving a booth requires a signed agreement and $500 retainer payment – its easy and all done online!

We are very pleased to announce that for the second year in a row, we have been selected to showcase our lavish photo booths at the Wedding Show. So pop on over to the Carlu from Jan. 14th – 16th to say hello and to take the booth for a free spin!

Toronto is abuzz right now with the Toronto International Film Festival taking place downtown and Booth has been keeping busy, capturing all of the fun!

Last night we packed up and headed down to the Wine Bar (Formerly Jamie Kennedy’s) where Diet Coke was hosting a pretty rockin’ little party for all of the social media kings and queens of the city, before heading out to the screening of Route Irish. The mixes were flying of both the turn tables as well as the bar (quite literally at times!) and the booth was packed all night long. Some highlights of the event included a really awesome bartender showing off his flair moves as well as a magician with some serious tricks up his sleeve!

That pretty much sums up the fantastic evening that we had at Elaine & Dara’s wedding this past weekend, which was held at the beautiful Casa Loma estate. They also did a great job by creating their own retro props bucket as well. It included feather boas, fun glasses, classy hats, a retro picture frame and more!

Benefiting cancer research at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Most Wanted brings the latest fashion to it’s invite-only runway show at Eagles Nest Golf Club. This years clothing came from international labels such as Lanvin, Moschino, Valentino, and Georges Chakra and was flown in just for this event.

With such a high fashion presence, it’s only fitting that the organizers of the event contacted us about having the booth as a main feature during the after-show dinner and cocktails. It proved to be a big hit with everyone in attendance, from the guests, to staff… and even some of the models!

Booth. The most fashionable photo booth system available!

The Berkeley Church (Berkeley Events) is a fun, eclectic venue that is simply filled with character – and of course made for a great setting for the photo booth this past weekend.

The booth was situated on the lower level and was a huge draw at the nursing graduation formal of which it was booked for. From opening time, to shut-down, there was a constant line of a dozen people waiting to strike their best poses. The only time I was even able to get a photo of the booth, was before the event started!

Flash In The Can (FITC) is the worlds premiere flash developers conference, which takes place in Toronto every year. During my previous life as a graphic designer, I actually attended this event a few times and was blown away by the creativity and ingenuity of the presenters there. So when Paul, over at Stem contacted me about a multimedia project that he was working on, in collaboration with Sajak Farki, I was quite intrigued! The booth was to be the focal point of the FITC Paunch Party at Toronto’s own Spoke Club and would be running some funky custom software.

It was a great benefit that I had some flash programming experience, as Paul was all the way out in Calgary with his team, developing the platform, while I was in Toronto, testing it out on the photo booth. It ended up being a few late nights, but the end result was amazing, hilarious and maybe even a little scary to some!

The software would combine the photos of two guests to create a merger of facial features and then print a strip with all three.

The Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto was the setting for an absolutely fantastic Bar Mitzvah’s party and the booth was there to capture all of the excitement!

Anyone who has ever been to the Four Seasons will know that it’s a very classy establishment, with its tall marble walls , polished floors and ornate furnishings. With such grandeur, many other photo booths would simply not fit in, but booth, with its clean lines and simplicity, complimented the space extremely well.

The props bucket was also getting a lot of use at this event, with mustaches, pirate hats and wigs adorning many of the guests as they stepped in to have their photos captured. A side table was also set up, which had glue sticks, stickers, markers and other scrap booking items on it, so that everyone could write a message and design a page for the guest album. So fun!
